The Australia Singapore Cable (ASC) is a 4,600km submarine cable system linking Singapore to Perth, Western Australia, via Indonesia.

The four-pair fibre network will deliver a minimum of 40Tbps of capacity and will offer an approximate 30% reduction in latency from Sydney to Singapore compared to alternative routes.

Project Progress

The Australia Singapore Cable has contracted with Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) to commence the construction of the cable with a completion target set for July 2018. The ASC project has now commenced construction of the system.
